Feb 24 UIL Social Studies Practice Time: 3 PM – 4 PM Location: Room 222 Feb 24 Show All Events Latest News Closed Campus February 18th-19th, 2020 4th and 5th Grade students will be taking Benchmark Tests on Tuesday, February 18th and Wednesday, February 19th. To ensure that we have a secure testing environment in preparation for STAAR, we will have a CLOSED CAMPUS on these days. No parents (from all grade levels) will be allowed on campus during these testing days. Please schedule any lunch and/or classroom visits for another day. Apex Fun Run! We are so excited to announce that our school will be participating in an Apex Leadership Co. Fun Run from February 24th, 2020 — March 6th, 2020 as our major school fundraiser! Apex is an interactive leadership program that helps schools all over the country raise money while promoting leadership, good character, and fitness. This year's them is Apex GAME ON! Students will join the Apex Team on an exciting journey to learn the habits of a game-changing leader. Students are challenged to get pledges for the laps they will complete on Fun Run event day, where they will run for 30 minutes and will average about 26-36 laps around the Apex Raceway. The maximum amount of laps is 36 and each lap is 1/16th of a mile. Through the online pledging system, sponsors can pledge $1.00 per lap, $2.00 per lap, $5.00 per lap, or any other amount of their choice for students, from anywhere in the world! Keep an eye out for announcements online and sent home in your student's folder as we get closer to the Fun Run date. Kindergarten GT Referral Window Results from the Kindergarten GT Assessment were mailed the week of January 27th. This assessment determined the eligibility of automatically referred students. Students who were not automatically referred may be referred by any staff member or guardian during the referral window. The referral window will open be open from January 29th through February 7th. Click on the tile of this news story to complete the student referral form. 2019-2020 Winter Break Students return to school on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020. After School Care on December 20th After School Care will be open until 3:00 PM on Friday, December 20th, 2019.
